Gbedu! 🥳 Hakimi, Super Falcons, and Morocco Dominate the CAF Awards 2025! 🏆✨

Chineke! The Confederation of African Football (CAF) Awards 2025 ceremony was pure fire, serving up glitz, glamour, and major celebrations as Africa crowned its football royalty! Held in Morocco, the night belonged to the stars of the continent, with Achraf Hakimi taking home the biggest prize and our own Nigerian queens, the Super Falcons, showing the continent they no dey carry last! 🇳🇬

The Biggest Wins of the Night 👑

The anticipation for the

African Player of the Year was huge, but the sensational Moroccan defender, Achraf Hakimi, rightly clinched the prestigious title. His performances for club and country have been nothing short of masterclass, making him a deserved winner.

For the women, the crown stayed home as Morocco's incredible captain, Ghizlane Chebbak, was named the Female Player of the Year. Chebbak’s star power has been phenomenal, leading the way for her country.

Nigeria’s Glory: The Falcons Fly High! 🦅

Our pride, the Super Falcons of Nigeria, were officially recognized as the Women’s National Team of the Year! 🇳🇬 This award celebrates the collective strength and consistency of our ladies on the continental and global stages. Massive shout out to the Falcons for proving their dominance!

Adding to the Nigerian gbas gbos was our brilliant shot-stopper, Chiamaka Nnadozie, who secured the title of Women’s Goalkeeper of the Year. Her consistency between the sticks is unmatched!

Young Talent and Club Power

The future of African football is bright, with Moroccan players making a clean sweep of the youth categories: Othmane Maamma won the Men's Young Player, and Doah el Madani took the Women's Young Player award. Morocco U20 were also celebrated as the Men’s National Team of the Year.

In the club competition, Egypt's Pyramids FC was named Club of the Year, while Fiston Mayele took home the coveted Interclub Player of the Year trophy. And the biggest roar for goal brilliance went to Clément Mzize, who won Goal of the Year!

The Presidential Shout-Out! 🇰🇪🇹🇿🇺🇬

In a unique gesture, CAF recognized three East African heads of state with the CAF Outstanding Award: President William Ruto of Kenya, President Samia Suluhu of Tanzania, and President Yoweri Museveni of Uganda. This special recognition was for their commitment and efforts in hosting the successful TotalEnergies CAF African Nations Championship (CHAN) 2024 tournament! CAF showed levels by recognizing that the growth of football needs political support! 👏

What a night for African football! The future is now, and it is definitely colored green, white, and red! 🇲🇦🇳🇬
