In a bold step toward tackling unemployment and driving economic growth, the National Directorate of Employment (NDE) has officially flagged off Phase 2 of the Renewed Hope Employment Initiative (RHEI). This programme, launched in line with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, aims to reduce poverty and provide sustainable livelihoods for thousands of Nigerians.
From July 28 to August 11, 2025, the NDE will be conducting a nationwide skills acquisition programme, targeting 28,000 beneficiaries across the country. Participants will be trained in 30 strategic vocational, digital, agricultural, and entrepreneurial skills carefully selected to reflect both local relevance and economic demand.

What makes this phase unique is its grassroots implementation. By operating at the electoral ward level, the initiative ensures that training opportunities reach communities directly, allowing for wider participation and local economic development.
The RHEI Phase 2 is completely free of charge, giving Nigerians from all walks of life the chance to learn practical, marketable skills that can lead to self-employment, job creation, and financial independence.
This initiative not only reflects the government's commitment to youth empowerment but also supports the broader goal of building a resilient, self-sufficient economy through skill-based development.
