United Nigeria Airlines Deboards VeryDarkman and Mr Jollof After Mid-Air Altercation at Asaba Airport

A viral video circulating on social media earlier on Monday captured the tense moment between the two influencers, sparking widespread online debate about what led to the confrontation.

Airline Confirms Incident, Says Crew Acted Swiftly

In an official statement issued by the airline’s Public Relations Officer, Chibuike Uloka, United Nigeria Airlines acknowledged the clash and emphasized that its crew acted promptly and professionally to prevent the situation from escalating.

According to Uloka, both influencers were immediately deboarded in line with international aviation safety protocols to ensure the safety and comfort of other passengers.

“An altercation occurred between two passengers, identified as Martins Vincent Otse (VeryDarkman) and Freedom Okpetoritse Atsepoyi (Mr Jollof), during the boarding of Flight UN0523 at Asaba International Airport on the morning of November 17, 2025,” the statement read.

“In full compliance with global aviation safety protocols, our crew responded immediately and professionally to de-escalate the situation. Both passengers were deboarded without delay to ensure the safety, comfort, and security of all other passengers and crew members.”

The airline added that the two men were later handed over to airport security for further investigation.

Flight Departed Safely After Their Removal

United Nigeria Airlines emphasized its zero-tolerance policy for any behaviour that threatens the safety of passengers or crew. After all procedures were completed, the airline confirmed that Flight UN0523 departed safely, leaving the involved passengers in the custody of authorities.

Truth be told, Nigerians don’t take drama lightly especially when it involves big internet personalities. Many passengers wey dey onboard no get that time for celebrity wahala, especially for inside airport where everybody just wan reach their destination in peace.

Airline no dey joke with safety matter, so once gbege start, dem must follow protocol sharply.
